Reverse search

Post by erihanse » Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:52 am

How do I do a reverse search? Pressing CTRL-R doesn't bring up the reverse-i-search prompt, it only cycles through the previous commands.

Are you talking about in vsql?

vsql supports the tecla library for convenient line editing and retrieval.

See:

Sounds like you are looking for the "history-search-backward" key binding.

By default you can search backwards in the command history by typing in a keyword that you want to search for at the vsql prompt, then hit <esc> followed by <p>.
