HCatalog Connector

We need a forum dedicated to HCatalog Connector
I am able to connect to the webHcat metadata but I cannot query the hive metastore.
My generic error says VHCatSource() does exist or permission denied.

My Hadoop instance is Horton Sandbox so the webHcat and Hive server are the same machine...

I am able to pull table metadata etc... not query.

Any insight?

Hi,

from Vertica techs:
Using vsql , run
\i /opt/vertica/packages/hcat/ddl/install.sql
Should work.
