The Vertica Database Forums

Hello All,

I am very much new to creating UDF in Vertica and not much acquainted with C++ also.

Can anybody point me to a good and simple example to start from.

Also, is there any class/method with Vertica SDK API where I can query the database for a single value and store the value in variable and display or return the value at the end.

Any example with this use case will be great .
