Hi,
I work for a small company and have been asked to investigate the Vertica database to see if it can help us as we build a new data warehouse. Can anyone share via their experience why they think Vertica would be a "stand out" database solution. Obviously price is one major advantage! I've read all the marketing material but would like to hear from someone that is using it.

Anyway, I can let you know that we are very happy with Vertica. The performance is unbelievable at times and the data compression ratio we have is incredible.
I'll keep you posted as we tune our database and let you and others know what we discover!
