Home OS: server closed the connection unexpectedly

Post by Salyony » Sat May 21, 2016 11:34 pm

Hey guys, please help me to solve the problem. My goal is to install vertica in guest CentOS and connect to it from home OS Windows 7. I am using VMware workstation 12. I have installed Vertica example VMart database on host 127.0.0.1 (1 node, 1 cluster). It perfectlly works with isql in CentOs, but I couldn't connect to it from Windows by vsql. I'll be grateful for the help, screenshots are in attacment(sorry for Russian language for home OS, but i believe that it's not too important)

I'm not well versed with VMWare, however with VirtualBox, an adapter will assign an IP address to the box and the OS will resolve it if it's configured properly. What is the IP address of your VM from the OS (ifconfig)?
Checkout vertica.tips for more Vertica resources.
