Spil Games (with it's HQ located in the Netherlands - 30 min. from Amsterdam) is one of the largest online gaming publishers, active on a global scale.
We strive to build a real time operational warehouse, where every event on our portals is stored, processed, analyzed and the result pushed back to the live portal in few minutes – we are talking about 400+ million gameplays per month on our 45 global gaming portals accessible anytime, anywhere.
Our analytical Vertica cluster (with a capacity of 100TB) is positioned right in the center of this process and we are only at the very beginning of the big data journey. So this is the phase where the Vertica DBA can truly make a difference – there are tons of new things to uncover!
We need a passionate Vertica DBA to make that difference.
Check out the spec here: http://www.spilgames.com/jobs/database- ... hilversum/
A few things to consider:
[*] We need someone onsite. Remote working is not an option.
[*] We need someone permanent - contracting at this point is not an option
[*] To end with a more positive note: We offer a relocation package for the right candidate! We onboarded > 30 nationalities the last few years. You're in good hands.
