Unix Time

Post by sarah » Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:12 pm

Howdy,

We have a MySQL DB and use Unix time for many of the key fields. MySQL has a function called UNIX_TIME() that makes it easy to get Unix time (number of seconds since 1 Jan 1970). How do I get this value in Vertica?

Thank you
Have a GREAT day!

Thanks, Jim! Hey, do you know why Jan 1, 1970 was chosen as start date? Seems weird. Something to do with Nasa and the moon landing?
Have a GREAT day!
