SQL formatter or prettyfier?

Post by dbmsuser7 » Tue Jul 15, 2014 1:48 pm

Anyone know of a program which will take SQL code and format it nicely, which works with SQL written for Vertica?

I imagine there are some generic formatters but I'm not sure whether they'd leave the code intact.

I have yet to come across a good one. The one I generally use is Instant SQL Formatter with the MySQL or Generic database selected.
Checkout vertica.tips for more Vertica resources.

Thanks for your reply.

In what ways does "Instant SQL Formatter" fall short?

It does not support some of the Vertica specific functions and will throw an error in the output.
