As a former Vertica/HP employee, let me note that the Engineering team is largely intact - there have been very few departures from that team. The Support team is also intact. Some of the people listed in that article had only been with Vertica for a year or two. There has also been an infusion of new talent, energy, and enthusiasm into all of the teams.
