Yeah, I hope. Otherwise I'll have my management reign hell down on me for choosing Vertica as a solution. For us, Vertica is awesome, so I can't imagine going back to Oracle.

IMHO: Vertica is going to only get better as we are now separated from the hardware division. We are the flag ship software available in the new company.

Just remember that Vertica started without HP. It will continue to do fine.

Norbert, brilliant response! Yes, we are returning to our roots as a software company. HPE is an awesome company, but it is not where Vertica belongs, hidden deep, unnoticed inside a hardware company! Now we, Vertica, will shine bright in the new company. I am proud to be a part of it!
