Restore Vertica With new database Name

HI can i restore my backup with New database Name
i mean i took backup of tdadb database , i want to restore it with new name ...



Then u mean , that New database shuld b created in advance before restoring ???? and Then i need to restore using vbr.py

Yes, of cause! Can do you it in other way? Restore before a backup? Restore of what - an abstract database?
(and also restore doesn't mean create, something must exists)

See i took the backup of tdadb , so in .info and .txt file , tdadb name is mentioned
and its catalog directories are
v_tdadb_node0001_catalog and v_tdadb_node0001_data

... i have another database called test, inside this data base my catalog and Data directory are
v_test_node0003_catalog and v_test_node0003_data


In my back up every where tdadb and its catalog names are mentioned , Shuld i replace one by one manually and then restore , then i i can do that by taking tar noe ????

Oops. You are right it's little more complicated - you also need to change node names in .ini and .info and rename some directories.
