SECURITY VULNERABILITY HOTFIXES
A critical security vulnerability has been found in Vertica. An unauthenticated entity with the ability to establish a connection to the client socket, can reset the password of a known user. Vertica has fixed this vulnerability in hotfixes, and strongly recommends upgrading your system as soon as possible. Download the appropriate hotfix and see the release notes from these locations (Version 6.1.x includes a text version of release notes, rather than an HTML version):
