Change database password when there is no password...

Post by billykopecki » Thu Aug 23, 2012 6:51 pm

Hi,

I created a database that does not have a password. That is, dbadmin is the super user but it does not have a password. I would like to add one now. To do this, do I just alter the dbadmin user to have a password? Does that mean when I access dbadmintools I'll use the new password when asked for the database password? Or do I need to alter the database itself to add a password?

Thanks!

PS> I know I shouldn't have created the database in the first place without a password... I was stupid and in a hurry.
