Spread does not seem to be running on 192.168.0.6. The database will not be started on this host.

Ok, removed subnet assigned new ip addresses, created VIP and reinstalled with the -S parameter. Here is the new /opt/vertica/config/vspread.conf. Same issue:

192.168.0.4
127.0.0.1
}
}

Thanks for the help skwa, it appears as if there was no issue with the configuration rather it was a permissions issue with CentOS check out:
