view name

Post by nnani » Sun Apr 06, 2014 11:52 am

Hello All,

I am trying to find the system table which shows me view name.

I know I can see the view name through meta command \dv

But I want to know the system table to access the view name.

I tried view table and view columns table, but could not find view name.

Thanks

I think you're looking for v_catalog.views and v_catalog.view_columns.

Hi norbert,

My question was regarding checking the view_name.

I cannot find view_name column in any of the mentioned tables.

There is no such column, unless you're talking about Flex views in 7.

The column is unintuitively named table_name. (in the views table)
