Hi!
Are you interesting in something specific in backup or in general?
If in general so it's hard to write it In two words, but Vertica has wonderful documentation and it is available online to any one:

Read it and we will help if something do not understandable.

im executing this command vbr.py -t backup --config-file /opt/etl/tmp/back.ini
getting following ERROR:
Preparing...
Cannot find tdadb; can only backup to an existing database.
backup failed!

And? We are not oracles and my libtelepathy library doesn't work today!!! Is it exists and active?
