Hi there,

We're getting the following error during a Cognos cube build from our new Vertica database:

Wed 30 May 2012 07:59:12 AM 2 000001B1 RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlOpenResult' status='-28'.
Wed 30 May 2012 07:59:12 AM 2 000001B1 UDA-SQL-0114 The cursor supplied to the operation "sqlOpenResult" is inactive.
Wed 30 May 2012 07:59:12 AM 2 000001B1 UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "open result".
Wed 30 May 2012 07:59:12 AM 2 000001B1 ERROR: Duplicate primary/unique key detected in join (cognos_wh.cust_billing_line_item x cust_wh.region_dim) using previous join and region_dim_DBD_123_rep_node0001 (PATH ID: 5); value 20192;

We have primary keys on the tables so there can't be duplicates. Does any know if this error is from Cognos or Vertica?

Thanks, sKwa! Sorry, I should have done a search before posting. The link did help explain my dilemma.

ERROR: Duplicate primary/unique key detected in join
