MySQL to Vertica

Can anybody help me?
I'm trying to make it so that my WHMCS loads faster and Vertica seems like the ideal solution since MySQL is really slow when it comes to queries with big amounts of data.
I saw this:

but would this make it so that my WHMCS would get the data from Vertica (making it insanely faster) I'm really confused and new to Vertica. Please help.
