The Vertica Database Forums

Hi,

Currently we have a requirement.

Migration from Teradata to Vertica.

From the High Level can some one share me the steps involved in this.

Welcome to Vertica forums !

On a high level -

1. Extract the Teradata tables using the tpt / fast export utility of Teradata into a file
2. Use the Copy utility / command in vertica to load data from file to table in Vertica
3. Use simple sql script for transformations inside Vertica database from table to table.
