Hi,
I have vertica community edition installed on a VMWARE and would like to install Informatica and BO/Tableau.
If any one has tried this, please share your experience.
Thanks,
Naveen

Re: Installing Vertica-->Informatica-->BO/Tableau
Hi,
We are using Tableau desktop with Vertica with no issues. It's really easy to set up. We also have Tableau server installed but haven't messed with it too much yet.

Hi James,
Have you installed on a VMWARE?

Hi sonynavi,
What OS are your referring to on VMWARE, If you are using the Vertica VMware ready to use image installed on the VMware player / VMware workstation, then it will be CentOS 6.
But for Tableau as per date there is no Linux Version released, so you cannot install Tableau on this OS of VMware.
Workaround :- You can install Tableau on you Local OS / Host OS and then try connecting to Vertica on VMware, this works.
Hope this helps..
