Fresh Installation - Problem in Creating Database

Vertica 3 node installation is done. I am able to move from one node to another by SSH with out password,
While creating database from admintools I am facing the following problem

I have tried couple of times, but mostly the node status is down for all 3 nodes. DBLog in every node states "connected to spread in port XXXX"


Can any one of you throw some light on this ?

Hi!

Check vertica.log, not a spread. If, for example, some container was deleted on node (from any reason), so node will not up.

Hey imsaravanan79,

If I were you I'd answer "yes" to the question about continuing to wait several more times. There have been times where I had to answer yes 5 times!

i got half baked database. i could not find vertica.log in the catalog folder.

Some time no nodes are up. Not able to figure out the cause. can any one help me out ?. The database is not created.

Hi,

Can you attach a dbLog file from nodes 2 and 3 and your vertica.log file from nodes 2 and 3 so that we can take a look?

Sorry for the delay, bit struck with bringing the log files.

i have attached new set of responses from vertica during database creation. This time also i got only one node up and rest 2 nodes were down. This time i have waited 4 rounds

please find attached the success node (node6-log) and the remaining log files which are not successful.

can any one help on this.
