Get Database Param. with Admintools

Post by usli06 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 7:44 pm

Hi,

Can someone help me with the following command? I thought I'd be able to get the current value for a database parameter like this:

Code: Select all

[dbadmin@vertica11 ~]$ admintools -t database_parameters -d test_db -P ActivePartitionCount
ERROR 3457: Function ActivePartitionCount(unknown, unknown) does not exist, or permission is denied for ActivePartitionCount(unknown, unknown)
HINT: No function matches the given name and argument types. You may need to add explicit type casts
Invalid component input None OR Invalid subcomponent input None
Am I not running the command correctly?

Hi,

That database_parameters admin. tool is used for turning on the debug log. To get a list of components and sub-components query debug_log_help():

Code: Select all

dbadmin=> select debug_log_help();
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               debug_log_help
