Hello Everyone,
I am trying to backup one or more tables at a time, but it seems Vertica dosen't support the feature of backing up the Tables individually, instead it does full and increamental back up on the whole database. This is taking a lot of time and also increasing the footprint of database at the Back up site. Can anyone please suggest me the way to do this. Also the same applies to Restoring the tables on individual level.

Re: Backup and Restore for tables
Hello,
I am intending to backup the tables from one instance of database to another at DR site. Is there any way I can do this with respect to one or more tables. The reply posted by you can only help me take backups in a flat file. Thats gr8. but I need it to be directed to a Vertica database at DR site.

Re: Backup and Restore for tables
I will describe it as follows
I have a set of table or a single table in the production environment in Vertica Database. Now I want a backup of one or more tables in the Disaster Recovery site in Vertica Database. So I need a copy of one or more tables on a increamental basis into the Vertica database on Disaster Recovery site. As Vertica backup script dosen't allow me to do it for one or more tables intead for whole database, I am unable to do this.
