Hi, Navin!
You need exact copy on your DR site but full backup is too slow, so you want incremental backup of all database table by table. Is it correct?
I'm afraid that without a full backup you have no other choice.
Ok, tables in Vertica are logic objects. If table has buddy projection? Or table is result of join (pre-join projection)? If it partitioned? What about a epochs, statistics? It not so easy to take "a single table" (a logic object) and materialize it for backup.
PS:>
Vertica has functionality like COPY FROM VERTICA/EXPORT TO VERTICA. Try it, it should be a "best way" (no validation, already compressed,...) but I'm not recommend.
