i have loaded 39 GB of raw data In single node it is compressed to 5.1 GB and in 3 node it is compressed to 12.01 GB with K safety 1 (Original data + 1 backup copy) 1 GB differece ..... All Table structure , Optimized Query , Db designs are same in both the single and 3 node Vertica .. why this larg...

Can anyone please tell me whether compression ratio varies with number of nodes .
My raw data size is 11 gb , in single node it is compressed to 3 Gb , in 3 node cluster it is compressed to 2 GB

does the operating system for all nodes ,where we are about to install vertica should be same .
if 3 nodes means all 3 nodes have same os running in them

What is the difference between using copy command from talend tool and in perl code . Both will connect to DB and issue copy ,but which is more advantageous to use from tool or through code??
