Hi, We have a column defined in a Vertica table as numeric(12, 5). In this column we can store numbers as large as 9999999.99999. This error indicates that the user executing the query has a memory cap setting that is insufficient for this query. The query will need about 2.5GB and the user has a max memory cap of 1GB. I heard Vertica 5.1.0 will be released in early spring. Although its labeled as a minor upgrade, it will include a new GUI. We've been using Toad for Data Analysts. The new GUI is supposed to be a graphical version of the dbadmin tools.
