In previous versions TRIM worked also like you pointed out, but starting from version 7 you should use: Trim('"' from Column1)

Hi we have also been running vertica on top of LVM for about 2-3 years without noticeable problems. But sometimes we have a problem that backup(using vbr.py) hangs for many hours. If usually full backup of our 3 nodes (raw data ~4T) takes 2-3 hours, then in some random days it takes 12 or even more ...
