I re-created the entire cluster by specifying 3 nodes and now the cluster shows all 3 nodes active.
Adding a third node after creating a 2 node cluster did not work.

Adding third node to community server fails
I tried adding a third node to a 2-node Community Edition cluster. when I tried the Add Hosts option, it went through the motions of creaeting the database directories/catalog but gave an error "Failed to add nodes to database. Cannot create node. The current license permits 3 nodes and the database...

Vertica chooses the correct plan..I just need to purge the super projection data but retain the optimized projection...(ie. I have partitioned the data by date...can I drop just the partitions of the super-projection while keeping the partitions of the optimized projection ?

I was looking more at purging the super projection to keep data usage under control. (I am aware that the actual projection can be queried directly)..

I setup a Vertica instance on a single host. The admin Web Page shows a cluster with a single host
I want to add a new machine to the cluster. When I involve the Add Host command form the adminTools menu, I get a message
"All hosts are participating in this cluster"..and nothing happens
