Replacing a node

I setup a test vertica instance with 3 nodes and failed a node completely (deleted the virtual server). When I got it back up it wouldn't reinstall using the regular install with -s flag command, so I had to dig deeper. It had a new ip so I changed the hosts file on all 3 servers and still no luck. ...

PHP and Vertica (on linux)

I plan on doing some integration with Vertica in the near future. There currently isn't any built in support from PHP but you should be able to use isql from unixodbc. I plan on using this thread to share my findings.

A lot of times when a smaller company is acquired by a big corporation the CEO steps down. The leadership from the smaller is taken over by people at the big companies. I've been a part of several mergers and it always happens the same. The next phase will be some talent leaving Vertica, but hopeful...
