Can a UDx communicate back to the DB?
Hi guys, Do you guys know if a UDx (either written in C++, R or Java) can communicate back to Vertica? That is, can the UDx itself connect back to the DB (i.e. using ODBC or JDVC) and get query the DB? Good afternoon. Anyone have a clue what the "basename(lookup)" text in a create projection statement indicates?
For example:

#scutter, do you think this might be related to using san storage? Would Vertica go down if it loses contact with the storage temporarily?
